I could go on and on (and on and on…) about how many things are amazing in the following video, but I’ll just let it speak for itself.

I AM TOO EXCITED.

Twitter’s getting a facelift.

Over the next few weeks Twitter will be rolling out some new and updated features.

  • Easily navigate between @replies, retweets, searches, and lists – now found above your timeline
  • New two column view allows an expanded view of selected tweets- with twitpics, youtube videos, etc viewable without having to leave you twitter timeline
  • clicking a tweet will also give you expanded information like who retweeted it or replied to it.
  • clicking a username will open a ‘mini profile’ giving you information on the user without having to leave your timeline
  • and I’m sure many more changes I am missing

Keep your eyes peeled, change is coming!

Gaming for a good cause.

On October 16, 2010 gamers all over the world will attempt to play video games for 24 hours straight to raise money for their local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

I am super excited to be taking part this year and raising money for the Children’s Health Foundation in London, Ontario.

Playing video games for 24 hours straight is not as easy as it sounds! I’ll need all the help I can get. I will be taking donations at my Extra Life donation page ($1/hour = $24 is recommended but not mandatory!) and I’d love some people to play with! I will probably be spending most of my time on my 360, so post your gamertags in the comments and so you can help me pass the time with some online multiplayer action (in a future post I’ll post a masterlist of my games.)

Let’s play some games and help heal some kids!

It’s been over two years since I stopped posting on this blog and strangely I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately.

Two years later, I’m really missing this little blog of mine.

I think it’s about time I bring it back.

The highly anticipated first act (Wheee!) of Joss Whedon’s ‘Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog’ is live RIGHT NOW and they have fixed the problem that had viewing restricted to within the U.S.

Act 2 will be out on the 17th (OMG!) and the final act (Denouement!) on the 19th. Be sure to check it out soon because all three parts will be taken down on the 20th!

But never fear! You can buy the three episodes on iTunes and there will be a DVD release as well (more to come on that at a later date).

In the meantime:

Despite all the buzz, and exec producer McG, and a “phenomenal cast”, Spaced is a no-go, I’m told. FBC just turned thumbs down on the WBTV/Wonderland pilot, which was adapted from the successful British TV series.

WAHOO!!

Down with McSpaced!!

In related news the Region 1 DVDs for the one and only Spaced hit the shelves on July 22nd!!

May 18th marks the beginning of shooting for the film ‘S. Darko’ a sequel to the film Donnie Darko.

Wikipedia tells us:

UK-based sales company Velvet Octopus will be launching sales for the film in Cannes, with Fox already having required North American rights. S. Darko will be set seven years after the end of Donnie Darko, when Donnie’s little sister Samantha and her best friend Corey are now 18 and on a roadtrip to Las Vegas when they are plagued by bizarre visions. Daveigh Chase, who portrayed Samantha Darko in Donnie Darko, will be reprising her role. The cast will also include Ed Westwick, Briana Evigan and Justin Chatwin. Chris Fisher will direct the film, shooting on an estimated $10,000,000 budget and commenting he is “a great admirer of Richard Kelly’s film and hope[s] to create a similar world of blurred fantasy and reality.” Donnie Darko director Kelly is, however, not involved. According to Simon Crowe of Velvet Octopus, the character of Donnie Darko will not be coming back, but there will be “meteorites and rabbits”
